Proposed Budget & Tax Rate Notice

Colorado County GCD will hold a public hearing to consider adopting a proposed budget for FY 2027. The hearing will be held September 16, 2026 at 7 p.m. at 910 Milam Street in Columbus, TX. The total amount of the proposed budget is $275,826. 

Colorado County GCD will hold a meeting immediately following the Budget Hearing on September 16, 2026 to consider adopting a proposed tax rate for tax year 2026. The proposed tax rate is 0.0066 per $100 of value. The proposed tax rate would increase total taxes in Colorado County GCD by 3.51%.
