Abandoned wells are a danger to humans, animals, and the aquifer. We may contribute up to 50% of the cost of a closure, not to exceed $300. In order to participate, you must use a company or individual licensed to plug wells and provide our office with the invoice. We hope this program encourages well owners to plug their abandoned wells in order to safeguard our aquifer.
